Correction to Figure 1.3 of 子育て支援の経済学
The publisher, Nippon Hyoron Sha, has issued an official correction to Figure 1.3 of my book 子育て支援の経済学 (The Economics of Child-Rearing Support, 2021). The correction documents are in Japanese.

On the open letter 女性差別的な文化を脱するために
I did not sign the open letter 女性差別的な文化を脱するために (“Toward Leaving Behind a Culture of Discrimination against Women”), nor did I consent to the inclusion of my name. Lists of signatories archived and published by third parties still include my name, but this is not a signature by me. In September 2026, I contacted the original organizers of the letter, who explained the circumstances and apologized.

New book: 「早生まれ」は損なのか — 生まれ月格差の経済学
「早生まれ」は損なのか — 生まれ月格差の経済学 (Are Children Born Late in the School Year at a Disadvantage? The Economics of Birth-Month Gaps) has been published by Chuokoron-Shinsha in the Chuko Shinsho La Clef series (in Japanese). The book examines why differences by birth month within a school cohort persist into adulthood, and what institutions, families, and schools can do to narrow them.
